Arthur Delaye is an avid tennis fan with cerebral palsy which affects his physical condition. This disorder causes movement disorders that appear in early childhood. Signs and symptoms vary among people and over time but include poor coordination, stiff muscles, weak muscles, and tremors.
Arthur is a huge fan of both, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. He has already visited the Rafa Nadal Academy and met the legend himself. He received some training sessions there and the meeting with one’s hero is obviously a dream come true for the young man. He already plays tennis with a lot of enthusiasm and pretty well too given the condition he suffers from. He hopes to play tennis with the tennis legends and spread the message of inclusion with the means of this great sport.
This young man carries a beacon of hope for promoting inclusion by proving that no limitation is big enough and disability should not be used to exclude some people. We can make them feel welcome and share the joy with everyone.
